LT. GOV. O'BRIEN'S SCHEDULE FOR TODAY & FRIDAY


 

11:30 a.m.       Lt. Gov. O'Brien will make opening remarks at the Center for Work Education & Employment annual luncheon, honoring single parents who have transitioned into economically stable jobs. Location: EXDO Event Center, 1399 35th St., Denver

 

5:30 p.m.        Lt. Gov. O'Brien will speak to the Colorado Child Care Celebration, sponsored by Public Broadcasting Service's A Place of Our Own series, which gives practical advice for caregivers and parents. Location: Governor's Residence, Carriage House, 400 E. 8th Ave., Denver.

 

7 p.m.              Lt. Gov. O'Brien will give the 2009 Big Shot of the Year Award to Dr. James Todd for his work to increase childhood immunization. Location: The Cable Center, 2000 Buchtel Blvd., Denver.

7:30 a.m.         Lt. Gov. O'Brien will co-chair the Colorado Space Coalition meeting. Location: Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, 1445 Market St.

 

10 a.m.            Lt. Gov. O'Brien will speak to a Child Health Plan Plus enrollment fair to help get eligible children enrolled in basic health plans. Location: 220 E. Rogers Road, Longmont.

 

Noon               Lt. Gov. O'Brien will give opening remarks at the Preventing School Violence Symposium. Location: Johnson & Wales University, 1900 Olive St., Denver.
