LT. GOV. O'BRIEN'S SCHEDULE FOR TODAY (TUESDAY, APRIL 7, 2009)


 

8:30 a.m.         Lt. Gov. O'Brien will attend a discussion with U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan, Sen. Michael Bennet and students. Location: Bruce Randolph School gymnasium, 3955 Steele St., Denver.

 

9:15 a.m.         Lt. Gov. O'Brien will meet with Secretary Duncan, Sen. Bennet, state lawmakers and educators to discuss Race to the Top funding within the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Lt. Gov. O'Brien is leading Colorado's application process seeking a portion of the $4.35 billion Race to the Top grant funds. Location: Bruce Randolph School library, 3955 Steele St. Denver.

 

4:30 p.m.        Lt. Gov. O'Brien will host a Creative Capitol art reception. Lt. Gov. O'Brien's office has a rotating art display from the Colorado Council on the Arts featuring Colorado artists. This reception features the works of watercolor artist Joellyn Duesberry. Location: State Capitol, Room 130.
