GOV. RITTER WELCOMES HEXCEL TO COLORADO'S NEW ENERGY ECONOMY
Gov.Bill Rittertoday welcomedHexcel Corp. toColorado's New Energy Economy following news that the Connecticut-based manufacturer intends to open a plant inWindsornext year.
Hexcel, a producer of carbon fiber and other advanced composite materials, is a supplier to Vestas Wind Systems and will build its new facility near Vestas' blade-manufacturing plant inWindsor.
"I'm pleased to welcome Hexcel Corp. toWindsor, toColoradoand to our New Energy Economy," Gov. Ritter said. "With Vestas increasing its presence inColorado, it's encouraging to see suppliers deciding to create jobs and make additional investments here as well. Hexcel's decision to open a new facility here further demonstratesColorado's national and international leadership in creating a new energy future forAmerica."
Construction on the new facility is expected to begin this month.
