GOV. RITTER SCHEDULE FOR MONDAY (DEC. 15, 2008)

9:30 to 9:45 a.m.        Gov. Ritter will appear before the legislature's Committee on Job Creation and Economic Growth, discussing ideas he has provided to the incoming Obama administration regarding economic recovery and stimulus investments, particularly in the areas of transportation and energy infrastructure. Russ George, executive director of Colorado Department of Transportation, will make a presentation to the committee immediately after Gov. Ritter. Other administration officials making presentations on Monday include Department of Local Affairs Executive Director Susan Kirkpatrick and Department of Labor and Employment Executive Director Don Mares. Location: State Capitol, Senate Committee Room 356.

 

Noon                           Gov. Ritter, Secretary of State Mike Coffman and Colorado Supreme Court Chief Justice Mary J. Mullarkey will preside over a ceremony for the state's nine presidential electors to cast their official ballots for Barack Obama. Location: Governor's Office.
1:15 p.m.                    Gov. Ritter will take part in the Colorado Press Association's annual legislative forum, discussing his priorities for the upcoming 2009 legislative session. Location: Denver Press Club, 1330 Glenarm St.
