CDOT SETS MEETINGS TO DISCUSS RECOVERY PROJECTS


Colorado small businesses, prime contractors and highway construction workers seeking information about the Colorado Department of Transportation's upcoming projects funded by the American Reinvestment & Recovery Act will want to attend any of four meetings scheduled around the state in upcoming weeks.

 

The meetings will not only provide important information, but will also provide an excellent opportunity for small businesses to network with the primary contractors who are likely to be bidding on the upcoming ARRA-funded transportation projects.  The meetings are scheduled as follows:

"As we work to improve Colorado's economy and lead the state forward, we want to ensure that all businesses, including small and disadvantaged businesses, are aware of the many job opportunities being created through these upcoming transportation projects," Gov. Ritter said.

 

            Colorado is expected to receive $400 million from the recovery act for transportation projects statewide and $100 million for transit.
