GOV. RITTER SCHEDULE FOR WEDNESDAY

9:30 a.m.                     Gov. Ritter, state Rep. Debbie Stafford and Department of Human Services Executive Director Karen Beye will hold a news conference to announce additional efforts to address child-protective services in Colorado following 13 child deaths. Location: West Foyer, State Capitol.

 

Time TBD                  Immediately after the child-protective news conference, Gov. Ritter is tentatively scheduled to head to Ordway and Crowley County. Late last night, Gov. Ritter declared the fires there a state emergency, freeing up $500,000 in state aid for firefighting and recovery costs. Additional details about Gov. Ritter's itinerary and media availablity will be distributed as they are finalized.
