9 a.m. Lt. Gov. O'Brien will honor Red Cross volunteers and firefighters who responded to the Dec. 20 crash of Continental flight 1404 at Denver International Airport. Location: DIA Fire Station,
1:30 p.m. Lt. Gov. O'Brien will sign her first bills into law, acting on behalf of Gov. Ritter, who is out of the state. She will be signing Senate Bills 40 and 204. SB 40 modifies recording requirements for documents related to manufactured homes, and SB 204 is one of several bills that will help the state balance the budget.
