GOV. RITTER'S SCHEDULE FOR TODAY AND TUESDAY

Gov. Ritter's Office will issue a written statement shortly after the Colorado Supreme Court posts its ruling in the "mill levy stabilization case" (Mesa County Board of Commissioners v. State of Colorado). A news conference will be held later in the day. Details about exact time and location will be announced later this morning.

 

Tuesday, March 17, 2009 – Gov. Ritter will be visiting La Plata and Montezuma counties.

 

10 a.m.            Gov. Ritter will join Small Business Administrator Regional Director Greg Lopez at the sixth and final "Surviving Tough Times" Small Business Financial Forum. The forum will provide small businesses direct, one-on-one access to government agencies, financial institutions and other business assistance organizations. Location: Ft. Lewis College, Student Union Ballroom, 1000 Rim Drive, Durango.

 

2:15 p.m.        Gov. Ritter will meet with Ute Mountain Ute tribal leaders on the reservation. They will tour the reservation, visit the Ute Mountain Farm and Ranch headquarters and discuss the Tribe's renewable energy focus and opportunities in the New Energy Economy. Location: Pick-up at 2:15 p.m. at Cortez Chamber of Commerce, 928 E. Main St., Cortez.  Meeting at Ute Mountain Ute Tribe Farm and Ranch Enterprise, 12500 Ute Mountain Ute Tribe, #201 Towaoc.

 

4:30                 Gov. Ritter will tour the facilities of StoneAge Waterblast Tools, which is recognized as a world leader in providing tools and equipment for water blast cleaning. Location: StoneAge Waterblast Tools, 466 S. Skylane Drive, Durango, (Animas Air Park).
