GOV. RITTER TRAVELS TO YUMA COUNTY NEXT FRIDAY (FEB. 15)

Gov. Bill Ritter will be visiting Yuma County next Friday (Feb. 15) to help dedicate the Wray School District's new wind turbine, participate in a school assembly, host a community town meeting and tourMorgan Community College.
 

Friday, Feb. 15

 
10:30 – 11:00 a.m.     Gov. Ritter will talk with and take questions from students during a school-wide assembly. Wray High School Gymnasium, 30074 County Road 35, Wray.
 
11:15 a.m. to Noon    Ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Wray School District Wind Turbine Project. Directions: The site may be reached by going south of Wray on Highway 385. Turn east at County Road 33 and proceed approximately 3/4 mile to a "Y" in the road, which is County Road HH.5. Take the north leg of the "Y" (left) and go approximately another 1/8 mile and turn west into the site. For more information on the wind turbine project, please go to: http://www.wrayschools.org/
 
1:30 to 2 p.m.             Gov. Ritter will participate in "Kid for a Day" Program, which introduces students to the world of business and economics. Morgan Community College, 32415 Highway 34, Wray.
 
2 to 3 p.m.                  Gov. Ritter will host a community town hall meeting, discussing his priorities for 2008 and taking questions from community members about local and statewide issues of importance. Morgan Community College, 32415 Highway 34, Wray.
 
3 to 4 p.m.                  Gov. Ritter will tour Morgan Community College facilities and programs, including its flagship nursing program.
