Gov. Bill Ritter today named Thomas S. Mowle of Colorado Springs as the new El Paso County public trustee. The public trustee is appointed to a four-year term to process documents pertaining to foreclosures, deeds of trust and release of deeds of trust.
Mowle, 42, is a recently retired U.S. Air Force major who served time in Baghdad and was a professor of political science at the Air Force Academy . He is the current chairman of the Athletics Subcommittee of the Academy District 20 Transportation Task Force and is a member of the Colorado Springs World Affairs Council.
He earned a B.S. degree in electrical engineering and a B.A. in government, both from the University of Notre Dame; a master's degree in international affairs from the University of Dayton; and a Ph.D in political science from Ohio State University.
