These firecrackers get a new, bolt-on rear subframe, a larger steel tank and steeply rising lines that catapult their street cred sky-high. Just like the KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE R, whose little brothers they are very proud to be. Or is it the other way around? They also receive a high-tech TFT display, an LED headlight and the best brakes in their segment. Both have WP open-cartridge front forks and with the optional extra 'KTM MY RIDE' (smart phone connectivity) topping things off, KTM once again turns – happily nodding – heads in this segment.
