Life after exile - An interview with the Lithuanian Minister of Defence

Profile of the Lithuanian Minister of Defence Juozas Olekas, who was born in exile after his parents were deported from Lithuania to a work camp in the Soviet Union in 1948.

Interview with the Minister at Naujoji Vilnia Railway station, where thousands of Lithuanian families were packed into cattle trains and sent off to work camps in the Soviet Union.

Speaking about the struggle for Lithuanian independence, and Lithuania's relationship with NATO and the necessity of having strong support from Allies and a strong military to defend hard-earned freedoms.
