GOV. RITTER TO ANNOUNCE $21.5 MILLION FOR LOCAL CONSTRUCTION AND COMMUNITY PROJECTS

1:30 p.m.                    Gov. Ritter and Department of Local Affairs Executive Director Susan Kirkpatrick will announce the awarding of $21.5 million in grants to 35 cities and towns for infrastructure, construction and other community projects. The grants, derived from severance tax and federal mineral lease revenues, will strengthen local economies, create new jobs and improve community livability. The names of the communities and details about the newly refined application and award process will be announced at the news conference.
