GOV. RITTER SCHEDULE FOR TODAY (THURSDAY, DEC. 4, 2008)


 

4 p.m.              Gov. Ritter will take part in a ceremony upgrading the British Consulate in Denver to a full Consulate-General. While there has been a British consul presence in Colorado since 1885, the upgrade will expand the policy, management and geographic responsibilities of the office. New Mexico and Wyoming will now come under the Colorado Consulate-General's responsibility. The upgraded office also will be responsible for political and economic reporting, relationship management with key government offices, federal R&D laboratories, and all aspects of climate change and renewable energy work.
