GOV. RITTER & LT. GOV. O'BRIEN SCHEDULES FOR MONDAY & TUESDAY


Gov. Ritter Schedule
 
Monday, April 7
 
10 a.m.                        Gov. Ritter will be making his monthly appearance on the Mike Rosen Show (850 AM/KOA).
 
1:45 p.m.                    Gov. Ritter will join House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Mayor John Hickenlooper at the Pepsi Center to announce the Democratic National Convention's new "Green Delegate Challenge." Location: Pepsi Center, 1000 Chopper Circle, Denver.
 
Tuesday, April 8
 
9 a.m.                          Gov. Ritter will sign two bills into law:
                                    Senate Bill 73 (Tupa/Kefalas), concerning college textbooks
                                    Senate Bill 116 (Kester/Looper), concerning volunteer firefighter job security
                                    Location: West Foyer, State Capitol
 
Lt. Gov. O'Brien Schedule
 
Monday, April 7
 
10:30 a.m.                   Lt. Gov. Barbara O'Brien will be kicking off National Public Health Week, April 7 -12. Lt. Gov. O'Brien will be joined by Jim Martin, executive director, Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment; John Lehigh, president, Forest City Stapleton, Inc.; and Alisha Brown, neighborhood connections officer with the Stapleton Foundation.
 
Location: Stapleton Central Park, Martin Luther King Blvd. and Xenia. Just east of the old Stapleton flight tower, by the playground or inside the concession building in case of inclement weather.
 
PHOTO OPS: The Lt. Governor will be distributing free pedometers to attendees; Stapleton parents and children on the playground; running/biking trails access; Stapleton residents running/walking.
 
6:15 p.m.                    Lt. Gov. O'Brien will be delivering remarks at the University of Denver School of Education's Reading Recovery Awards 2008. Location: Denver Athletic Club, 1325 Glenarm Place, Denver.
