GOV. RITTER & LT. GOV. O'BRIEN SCHEDULES FOR TODAY & WEDNESDAY

7:30 a.m.                     Lt. Gov. O'Brien will deliver remarks at the Rocky Mountain Youth Clinic's first Children's Advocate of the Year Awards Breakfast. Lt. Gov. O'Brien will be the first recipient of the Child Advocate of the Year Award. Location: Denver Marriott City Center, 1701 California St.
 
1 p.m.                          Gov. Ritter will join doctors, legal experts and others in announcing their opposition to Amendment 48. Location: West Steps, State Capitol.
 
Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008
 
­8:30 a.m.                     Gov. Ritter will kick off a 2½-day Governor's Conference on Managing Drought and Climate Risk. The conference, sponsored by the Colorado Water Conservation Board, will explore threats posed in Colorado by drought and climate change, and examine pro-active steps to address those challenges. Location: Grand Hyatt Hotel, 1750 Welton St., Denver.
