Lt. Gov. O'Briend schedule for today & tomorrow; June 6 & 7

Lt. Gov. O'Brien travels to Pueblo today to speak to the K-20 Continuum Conference at Colorado State-Pueblo. Lt. Gov. O'Brien is the co-chair of the P20 Education Reform Committee appointed by Gov. Ritter. The Pueblo conference is designed to look at reform to improve transition of high school seniors to post-secondary education, recruit teachers for high-need areas and indentify regional needs for science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

On Saturday, Lt. Gov. O'Brien speaks to the Colorado Arts Education Summit on the importance of incorporating arts into Colorado's students' curriculum throughout the school year. Lt. Gov. O'Brien is an advocate for arts education because of its ability to stimulate creative and analytical capabilities.
