12:30 p.m. Gov. Ritter will be available to talk with reporters at 12:30 p.m. Mountain time today from the 2008 BIO International Convention in San Diego . This annual convention, exhibit and conference features 20,000 biotechnology and bioscience leaders from around the world. Gov. Ritter will be attending and taking part in events with a delegation from the Colorado BioScience Association, including retention and recruiting meetings with several bio companies. This is Gov. Ritter's second economic-development trip to California in two months.

Noon Gov. Ritter will deliver a keynote luncheon speech to the Colorado Municipal League during the organization's 86th annual conference.

6:30 p.m. Lt. Gov. O'Brien will welcome early childhood leaders from 32 states participating in a National Governor's Association Center for Best Practices conference to improve the lives of children from birth to 5 years old. Colorado is the host state and is one of 12 states that received grants for the conference.
