GOV. RITTER TO SIGN BIKE-SAFETY & OTHER BILLS AT COLO. SPGS. TOWN HALL MEETING

9:30 a.m.                     Gov. Ritter will join U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack, U.S. Sens. Michael Bennet and Mark Udall and U.S. Rep. Betsy Markey for a rural community forum in northern Colorado. Location: Morgan County Fairgrounds, 4-H Building, 750 Ellsworth St., Brush.

 

5:30 p.m.                    Gov. Ritter will sign a bicycle-safety bill and several other pieces of legislation into law during a town hall meeting with El Paso County Sen. John Morse and Reps. Dennis Apuan and Mike Merrifield. Among the bills:

SB 110 (Morse/Levy), Civil Rights Commission

HB 1058 (Morse/Marostica), Abandoned Military Remains

HB 1250 (Merrifield/Penry), Federal Money to Counties for School Districts

HB 1290 (Nikkel & Apuan/Harvey), Student Financial Aid National Guard

HB 1313 (Merrifield/Bacon), Expand Higher Ed Civic Engagement

HB 1334 (McCann & Apuan/Newell), Aggregate Two Theft Offenses
