GOV. RITTER SCHEDULE FOR MONDAY & TUESDAY


Monday, March 17
 
10:30 to 11 a.m.         Gov. Ritter will take part in the Pepsi Center's "Going Green/Play Clean" news conference, which will announce new renewable-energy and recycling programs at the Pepsi Center in advance of this summer's Democratic National Convention. 2:30 to 2:45 p.m.        Gov. Ritter, House Speaker Andrew Romanoff and Senate President Peter Groff will present a proclamation and joint resolution in honor of military widows and widowers. Location: West Foyer, State Capitol.
 
Tuesday, March 18

 

9:30 to 10 a.m.           Gov. Ritter will sign House Bill 08-1017 into law during a ceremony at Skyline Vista Elementary School in the Adams 50 School District. HB 1017 establishes the Western Painted Turtle as Colorado's official state reptile. The bill, sponsored by Rep. Cherilyn Peniston and Sen. Jennifer Veiga, was inspired by students and teacher Jay Baichi. Location: Skyline Vista Elementary School, 7395 Zuni St., Denver.
