GOV. RITTER CONFERENCE CALL FROM CALIFORNIA AT 12:30 P.M. TODAY

12:30 p.m.                  Gov. Ritter will be available to talk with reporters at 12:30 p.m. Mountain time today from the 2008 BIO International Convention in San Diego. This annual convention, exhibit and conference features 20,000 biotechnology and bioscience leaders from around the world. Gov. Ritter will be attending and taking part in events with a delegation from the Colorado BioScience Association, including retention and recruiting meetings with several bio companies. This is Gov. Ritter's second economic-development trip to California in two months.

Noon                           Gov. Ritter will deliver a keynote luncheon speech to the Colorado Municipal League during the organization's 86th annual conference.
 
                                    Location: Sheraton Steamboat Resort, 2200 Village Inn Court, Steamboat Springs.
 
6:30 p.m.                    Lt. Gov. O'Brien will welcome early childhood leaders from 32 states participating in a National Governor's Association Center for Best Practices conference to improve the lives of children from birth to 5 years old. Colorado is the host state and is one of 12 states that received grants for the conference.
