GOV. RITTER STATEMENT ON DEATH OF COLORADO STATE PATROL TROOPER TEMPLETON

Gov. Bill Ritter issued the following statement today regarding the death of CSP Trooper Zachariah Templeton: 

"On behalf of the people of Colorado, it is with profound sadness that I extend my condolences to the family of Colorado State Patrol Trooper Zachariah Templeton.

"Trooper Templeton served the public with honor and distinction. His tragic death in the line of duty reminds us all of the sacrifices that law officers make every day to protect us and keep us safe.

"All of Colorado mourns this loss, and we offer our prayers, thoughts and sympathies to Trooper Templeton's family and his colleagues at the Colorado State Patrol and Department of Public Safety."
