11:15 a.m. Gov. Bill Ritter will take part in a news conference announcing a new website that will be the nation's first comprehensive online self-assessment tool for the flu. Colorado will become the first state to adopt and support this flu-care system, which was designed in part by a Colorado company, HealthyCircles. This free web tool will allow people to determine the severity of their flu symptoms and whether they ought to seek medical care. It also will allow users to share information with their physician.
Gov. Ritter will take part in a live demonstration of the new website during the news conference.

The website was created by a broad coalition called Flu Information and Care System that includes: the American Medical Association, BlueCross NEPA, AllOne Health, CVS/Caremark, EMSC, Healthy Circles, Merck, MedImpact, Microsoft, Minute Clinic, Schumacher Group, Staywell/Krames, WorldDoc and Extracorporeal Life Support Organization.
